This scenic tour includes 2 full days riding through some of the best countryside in Australia. From the Gold Coast we will head towards Stanthorpe. Experience the Granite Belts diverse country haven and tranquil national parks with the opportunity to sample some of the local wines & gourmet food that the area is well known for. Being located some 1,015 metres above sea level Stanthorpe and it’s surrounding areas experience cool weather and generally clear skies every season of the year. After leaving Stanthorpe we will continue cruising towards the town of Tenterfield. Situated astride the Great Dividing Ranges close to the borders of NSW & Qld Tenterfield is a real Australian Country Town, home of the famous “Tenterfield Saddlery” and with a rich history of famous bushrangers and local identities.
After a sumptuous meal at a local country pub and a relaxing stay at a local Inn we will begin our journey home, heading towards the town of Casino and then on to the coastal town of Byron Bay famous for its laid back lifestyle, electric mix of locals and hippy culture. Amble through the local shops and arcades which sell an interesting mix of local and designer merchandise. We will also cruise up to the Byron Bay lighthouse situated on the most Easterly point of Australia. Spot a whale or a dolphin in the crystal clear waters and enjoy some locally made icecream. From there we will head back to the Gold Coast taking the main highway which passes through magnificent canes fields with not to be missed views of spectacular Mt Warning.
